Admissions & Transport Officer to join our Education Services
team, reporting to the School Admissions & Transport
Manager.
In this role, you will play a vital part in
ensuring the smooth operation of school admissions and transport
services within the West Berkshire area.
The Role
As an Admissions & Transport Officer, your key
responsibilities will include: Processing school admission applications and coordinating the allocation of places.
Managing requests for transport assistance and assessing eligibility according to relevant legislation.
Providing advice and guidance to parents, carers, and students regarding admissions and transport arrangements.
Handling enquiries and resolving issues related to admissions and transport.
Maintaining accurate records and databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Collaborating with schools, transport providers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
The Ideal
Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and
attributes: Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear information and advice.
Customer-focused approach, demonstrating empathy and understanding when dealing with enquiries and concerns.
Attention to detail, ensuring accurate processing of applications and maintenance of records.
Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues and external partners.
Knowledge of school admissions and transport legislation would be advantageous, but not essential.

You will also be entitled to a generous annual leave entitlement starting at 29 days per annum (plus public holidays) Rising by an additional 5 days after 5 years& service.
