As the Admissions Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the end-to-end admissions journey for both domestic and international pupils at Giggleswick School. You will be responsible for managing relationships with prospective families from initial enquiry through to enrolment for specific year groups, ensuring a seamless and personal experience throughout. You will work closely with UK-based and international families, often across time zones and cultures, so a culturally sensitive and relationship-driven approach is essential.
We operate a modern, sales-focused admissions model that prioritises rapid relationship-building and high-touch communication - including picking up the phone early in the process - so confidence in direct outreach is vital. Full training and support will be provided.
You must be available to support at least one Saturday per month, with time off in lieu during the week, to assist with tours and visits
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
End-to-End Admissions Journey
Own the full admissions process for allocated year groups, from enquiry through to enrolment.
Build strong, trusting relationships with families to support conversion at every stage.
Ensure all interactions align with the school's values and provide a warm and responsive experience.
Follow up on enquiries promptly, providing accurate information and personalised guidance.
Support parents and agents with completion of required forms and documentation.
Maintain accurate records and track the progress of each applicant through the school database (iSAMS).
Event Participation & Visit Management
Assist with the delivery of recruitment events including open mornings, boarding tasters, and assessment days.
Represent the school at recruitment events and nurture relationships with feeder schools and agents.
Support in organising travel and logistics for visiting families and new pupils, providing a smooth and welcoming experience.
Admissions Support
Ensure all documentation is correctly collected and recorded, including passports, reports, references, and safeguarding declarations.
Support the coordination of international visits, assessments, interviews and scholarship applications.
Collate all required documentation for CAS in preparation for review and submission by the Director of Marketing and Admissions.
Implement communications and follow-up as part of our conversion strategy, in collaboration with the Marketing team.
International Recruitment Support
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with educational agents and international stakeholders.
Provide ongoing administrative and communication support for overseas recruitment campaigns.
Support international fairs and travel preparation, including logistics, materials, and agent liaison.
Collaborate with the Events and Communications Officer on communication plans and agent relationship management.
Additional Responsibilities
Travel within the UK and occasionally overseas, as required to support recruitment initiatives and events.
Ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulatory standards, including those relating to safeguarding and data protection.
Promote the school's brand and values in all interactions with prospective families and agents.
Participate in performance appraisals and CPD opportunities.
Carry out any other duties reasonably required by the Director of Marketing and Admissions, Headmaster, or Bursar.

GCSE level English and Maths
Knowledge and Experience
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships quickly across cultures.
Comfortable with a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Confident making outbound calls and initiating contact with families early in the enquiry process.
Exceptional attention to detail and administrative accuracy.
Proactive, enthusiastic, and adaptable, with a team-oriented mindset.
Willingness to travel if needed
Experience in schools, education, or customer service is desirable but not essential.
