Willaston Surgery is seeking a part time Advanced Clinical Practitioner - General Practice, who can work on Tuesdays and Fridays, to join our team. We are a close, supportive team caring for a patient list size of approx 4600.
This post is part time - 18.4 hours per week (Monday or a Tuesday & Friday are the working days required for this post due to service requirements).

Main duties of the job
1. To deliver advanced clinical practice, demonstrating high levels of judgement, discretion and decision making in the delivery of clinical care.
2. Provide advanced clinical skills in relation to assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of patients within the GP surgery and providing specialist clinical advice where appropriate.
3. Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and supervision to the nursing team, participating fully in the delivery of healthcare provision in the primary care setting.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
Relevant Professional qualification - RGN, RMN, HCP
Masters Degree in Advanced Practice
Non-medical prescriber
Awareness of current national and local agenda in health and social care
Demonstration of high level knowledge of multi-agency working (i.e. housing, social services, independent sector, etc)
Knowledge and understanding of clinical governance
Quality improvement and change management
Demonstrate the ability to work in a highly demanding environment
Teaching and mentorship clinical setting
Ability to work independently and make autonomous clinical decision within own area of competence
Substantial post registration experience in at least one of the following settings: ? General practice ? Walk in Centre ? GP Out of Hours Service
Evidence of continuing professional development
High level communication skills, both written and verbal
Knowledge of audit / research and experience of analysing findings to improve practice
Ability to reflect on own practice

Current experience in assessing and treating both adults and children in a primary care/urgent care setting

Supervision experience and the ability to support trainee advanced practitioners and practice nurses in their development and career progression
Ability to work autonomously at advanced practice level and make expert clinical decisions to support the development of services and inform practice
Ability and evidence to lead on related research and audit in relation to the development of advanced practice
Communication of difficult messages to patients and families
Negotiation and conflict management skills within the context of multi-agency working
Evidence of multi-agency / professional working
Demonstrates efficient experience in leadership of team/s in the context of multi-agency working
