We are recruiting an Advisory Teacher at Caerphilly County Borough Council.Working hours: 37 Hours (7.24 Monday Friday)
Contract Type: Permanent/Full Time
Location: Various Locations across the BoroughThis is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Inclusion and Additional Learning Needs Team.We pay an attractive salary of 351,125 - 355,520 and offer access to training and development opportunities.The successful candidate will lead operational developments linked to Elective Home Education (EHE) and ensure compliance with the local Authorities(LA) in accordance with relevant legislation and guidance.You will act as a nominated officer for all families who electively home educate (EHE) their children in CCBC, with responsibility for assisting the LA in determining whether the education being provided by families to their child is suitable and efficient, in line with the childs age, ability, aptitude and any ALN they may have.The postholder will also provide professional advice, guidance and support to schools, families and partners in relation to EHE and the specific needs of individuals or groups.For the role, we ask that you have:

  • A relevant Level 6 (Degree) qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
  • An excellent understanding of the different approaches and philosophies that can be applied to home education.
  • A wide range of teaching experience linked to vulnerable learners.
  • Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend meetings.
