As the Aerodrome Safeguarding Officer (ASO), you will be accountable to the Deputy Head of Air Navigation Services (DHANS) for managing and coordinating all safeguarding activity and for providing professional and comprehensive advice on aerodrome operational, planning and safeguarding issues, in a safe, efficient, regulatory compliant and cost-effective manner, to protect the operation and development of HIAL Group airports.

The ASO is responsible for coordinating with the HIAL Approved Procedure Design Organisation (APDO) and HIAL Air Traffic Services Engineering Manager (ATSEM) as necessary to ensure appropriate IFP and technical safeguarding assessments are conducted, and actions plans executed in accordance with regulation.

In addition, you will support the Head of Compliance and Assurance (HCA) in the delivery of Safety Management responsibilities, including the application of HIAL Group SMS processes within the range of aerodrome safeguarding.
