We are looking for an Out of School Club Playwork Practitioner to cover Maternity Leave with the possibility of it leading to a permanent post.

Do you have Forrest Kindergarten? Are you passionate, enthusiastic and self motivated and do you love working outside encouraging children to embrace risky play, den building, tree climbing, tarzan swings and fire building then this opportunity could be what your looking for.

We are looking for someone who is fun, friendly & professional to join our team. Ideally you will be qualified in Playwork or Forrest Schools to HNC, SVQ L3 or equivalent, and have Paediatric First Aid, Child Protection & Food Hygiene.

Duties include supporting the children aged between 5-12 years in the planning & structuring of their day to day activities. The successful candidate must be familiar with the Playwork Principles, the articles within the UNCRC that apply to a playwork setting and be experienced with Outdoor Play/Forrest Schools.

Applicants must be able to build a relationships with the children and their parents/carers, be an effective team player and have the ability to lead.

You will be expected to contribute at staff meetings and represent the Out of Schools Club during our Open Days.

The successful applicant will be required to hold a PVG Scheme Membership and will be required to initially pay for a Scheme Record Update. This will be reimbursed to the successful candidate in their first months salary.
