Responsibilities
Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development through play.
Communicate effectively with children, encouraging their participation and helping them develop social skills.
Manage behaviour in a positive manner, providing guidance and support to children as needed.
Maintain a clean and organised play environment, ensuring all equipment is safe and suitable for use.
Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team approach to childcare and education.
Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, providing updates on their children's progress and activities.
Requirements
An enhanced DBS required through Ofsted
Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential.
Leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to drive engagement through creative play activities.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
