Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive part-time Agile focused Software Project Delivery Manager to help lead the creation and launch of our new eCommerce platform for a
minimum
15 hours a week . The platform is being built in .NET with a microservices architecture, and our plan is to embrace an agile workflow.
This is an office-based role, in our office in Birkenhead, Wirral.
You will be responsible for driving project success through meticulous planning, coordination, and communication with our developers. You will be managing the process for the development and launch of a new eCommerce platform, and we will expect you to bring your knowledge, expertise, and experience to create the most effective process for ensuring that every stage of the project is delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with our strategic objectives.
You will also be responsible for managing our other projects on our legacy system and our WordPress projects. Some team members will be involved in multiple projects, so you will be able to assist with their resource allocation management.
Responsibilities
Liaising with senior members and our clients to define project scopes, goals, and deliverables, and to ensure that all stakeholders and clients receive regular progress updates.
Create and manage detailed project plans, including timelines and resource allocation
Lead, motivate, and coordinate developers, ensuring effective collaboration and communication
Identify and mitigate risks, resolving issues proactively to avoid project delays
Monitor project progress, adjusting plans as necessary, and reporting status updates to stakeholders
Implement agile methodologies and best practices to enhance team efficiency and project outcomes
Facilitate meetings, ensuring productive dialogue and clear action items
Oversee the *developers executing approved projects. Develop a detailed execution plan and track performance against overall project deliverables
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals
Develop detailed work breakdown schedules, project estimates, and resource plans that support scope
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
5+ years of experience in project management within software development environments
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
Proven track record of successfully managing software projects from inception to completion
Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse teams
Detail orientation and problem-solving abilities
Advanced organisational/time management and project management skills and multitasking abilities
Ability to lead and supervise others
Must have a good working knowledge of project controls including scheduling, budgeting, progress monitoring, and forecasting
Experience *working in a team environment Agile Methodology Experience - Hands-on experience with Agile frameworks including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives, with ability to adapt to changing requirements in iterative development cycles.
Preferred:
Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification
Experience with tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana for project tracking and collaboration
Technical background in software development or engineering
Familiarity with budgeting and financial management for projects
Experience using AI as a productivity tool
