The Role:

As an Assistant General Manager (AGM) at The Welsh House @ The Rake & Riddle, Penclawdd, you'll support the Operations Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure an exceptional guest experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting in managing all aspects of the restaurant, including front-of-house and back-of-house operations.

Leading and motivating the team to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high standards.

Handling staffing, training, and development to ensure a skilled and cohesive team.

Overseeing inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling costs.

Managing financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

Handling customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional manner.

Collaborating with the Operations Manager to develop and implement business strategies and promotional activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Passion for Welsh culture and hospitality.

Previous experience in a management role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.

Strong leadership and communication skills.

Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work well in a team environment and handle high-pressure situations effectively.

Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic hospitality setting.
