We pride ourselves on reliable customer service, strong technical know-how and safe, compliant installations.Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Service & Repair Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for servicing, fault-finding, diagnosing and repairing air source heat pumps from a variety of manufacturers, carrying out site surveys, and occasionally supervising installation teams. This is a field role requiring regular travel across the South East.Key Responsibilities- Carry out routine servicing, preventative maintenance and warranty work on ASHP systems from multiple manufacturers. - Perform systematic fault diagnosis and repair on ASHP components (electrical, controls, refrigerant circuits, hydraulics). - Complete accurate, timely service reports, test certificates, and job documentation. - Conduct site surveys to assess existing systems and to prepare for repairs or installations (material lists, access, and risk assessments). - Supervise and coordinate installation teams on site when required, ensuring quality, safety and schedule adherence. - Liaise with project managers, customers and subcontractors to communicate technical findings and progress. - Maintain stock, tools and the company vehicle in good condition; ensure accurate parts usage records. - Comply with all health & safety regulations, manufacturer guidelines and company policies. - Support continuous improvement by feeding back recurring fault trends and recommending upgrades or process changes.Person SpecificationEssential:- Proven experience servicing and repairing ASHPs (multi-manufacturer experience preferred). - Strong fault-finding/diagnostic skills across electrical controls, refrigerant systems and hydraulics. - Ability to complete site surveys and produce clear recommendations. - Experience supervising small installation teams or willing to take on supervisory duties. - Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South East regularly. - Good communication skills and customer-focused attitude. - Competent with mobile reporting tools and basic paperwork.Desirable:- Relevant heating/FGAS, refrigeration or electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, F-Gas). - Experience with project handover and commissioning. - Health & Safety qualifications (CS, SMSTS, IOSH) or willingness to obtain them.What We Offer- Competitive salary (40-45k) with bonus opportunities for successful project completion. - Company van, fuel card and uniform. - 20 days holiday plus bank holidays. - Ongoing training and clear progression path into project and installation team management. - Supportive team, modern tools and strong safety culture.How to ApplyPlease send your CV and a brief cover note outlining relevant ASHP experience and availability to bill@sustainheat.co.uk.
