We are seeking a skilled Tailor to join our team, responsible for altering and repairing garments to meet the specific needs of our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a passion for fashion, and the ability to work with various fabrics and styles. This role requires creativity and precision in tailoring to ensure customer satisfaction.

Duties

Assess garments for alterations and repairs, providing recommendations to clients as needed. Perform alterations on a variety of clothing items, including suits, dresses, trousers, and coats. Use sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to execute alterations accurately. Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and preferences. Keep up-to-date with current fashion trends and tailoring techniques to enhance skills. Ensure timely completion of all alterations while maintaining high-quality standards.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Tailor or in a similar role is preferred. Proficiency in using sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques. Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills to interact effectively with clients. Knowledge of different fabrics and garment construction is advantageous.
