The Role
We are seeking a compassionate, proactive
Alternative Provision Assistant
to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff, Senior Leaders and pastoral leaders to support students' academic, emotional, and social development within a small-group or one-to-one setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to students with varied needs, both in and out of the classroom
Build positive, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and resilience
Assist in delivering personalised learning activities
Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Work collaboratively with the team to create a safe, structured, and encouraging environment
Support with recording progress, challenges, and pastoral needs
We're Looking For Someone Who:
Has experience working with young people, ideally within SEND, SEMH, or alternative provision settings
Is patient, emotionally resilient, and adaptable
Communicates clearly and builds rapport with ease
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Works well as part of a small, dedicated team
Someone who can use their initiative and think outside the box on occasion
