We are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to support children in our alternative provision setting. The role involves helping children with special educational needs, including autism, to take part in learning activities and develop social and emotional skills.
Duties
Support the delivery of lessons and activities planned by the teacher or manager.
Provide individual support for children with additional needs.
Assist with classroom behaviour and encourage positive participation.
Help children with daily routines and personal care when required.
Record observations and contribute to reports about children's progress.
Communicate with colleagues, parents, and carers as needed.
Take part in relevant training and development opportunities.
Skills
Experience working with children in an education or childcare setting.
Knowledge of supporting children with special educational needs, especially autism (desirable).
Good communication and teamwork skills.
A patient, caring approach and commitment to inclusion.
Schedule
Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: 24,500.00-26,000.00 per year
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
