Job Description

We are looking for a new member to join our sociable and forward-thinking team on a full-time, permanent basis - covering North and East Yorkshire with the stunning North Yorkshire Moors and East Coast on the doorstep for walking, running, cycling and swimming. We are also only half an hour to York, or 2.5 hours from London on the train.

What is the practice and team like?

We have recently updated digital radiography, ultrasound scanners, respiratory scope, and power tools for all dentistry. Video gastro- and endoscope. We also have a full in-house laboratory.


Our team members have free rein to work up as much as they are comfortable with on the road or use the largest equine hospital team in the North of England with specialists in Surgery, Medicine, Imaging and Anaesthesia, for advice of referrals.


Certificate holding senior road team to give full support and back up as required, and we work collaboratively!


We fully support our team members with their areas of interest/specialisms, and certificates are funded. We want our team to be the best they can be and truly enjoy what they do - as well as being a sociable and friendly group of people. We have regular team meetings and do lots of in-house CPD.

What is the actual role like?

The role covers all aspects of Equine Primary Care - lameness, medicine, dentistry, routine health care, emergency & ideally basic repro.


You would have a 4.5 day week, with a 1:6 OOH rota (with a day off in lieu after a weekend worked).


The salary is from 40-45k per annum, dependent on experience, but if you are further along in your career, we would also be happy to have a chat and see what would work for you.
