Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a new team member to work three days a week across two of our sites. The successful person will be trained to be a Shift Leader at our animal rescue in Padeswood, North Wales, and also trained to Shift Leader level at our Rescue Cat Cafe in Hoylake, Wirral. The position is designed to help us with holiday and sickness cover, and additional hours may be available if desired during busy periods.

Three days per week (9am-5pm)

Person Specification

Car driver and use of a car due to our remote location in Padeswood. The charity does own a transit van that staff can be insured on depending on age and license. Experience working with animals (paid or voluntary) Customer service experience

Responsibilities

Animal Rescue-

Supervise volunteers cleaning and feeding animals such as cats, rabbits, and farm animals. Manage admissions into the rescue, dealing with people surrendering animals with professionalism, completing admission paperwork Carrying out adoptions with kind people who adopt animals from Jackson's, competing paperwork. Updating social media with available animals. Taking animals to vet appointments.
Rescue Cat Cafe-

Managing a busy rescue cat cafe during open and closed days Caring for the cats including cleaning litter trays, feeding, conducting health checks, completing paperwork. Training new volunteers Serving customers who visit the cafe Keeping the cafe clean and tidy Making hot drinks using a coffee machine Managing online bookings and dealing with public enquiries
Full training will be provided for both roles.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
