Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Team Leader to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a strong background in food preparation and service. As a Cafe Team Leader, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Duties

Lead and manage the cafe team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain high levels of food safety and hygiene in compliance with health regulations. Train and mentor team members in culinary skills, customer service, and operational procedures. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy. Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels. Ensure the cafe is clean, organised, and welcoming at all times. Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and promotional activities.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food production techniques. Barista experience is an advantage but not essential.

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
