The Digital Trading Team sits at the heart of Dunelm's online business.



We're the digital shopkeepers of the business, the ones making sure our online experience feels just right. From crafting customer journeys that are both relevant and commercially smart, to helping people discover products they'll love and understand what makes them special, we're all about creating a smooth, joyful shopping experience. We use insights from all over to spot opportunities for growth and make sure our digital shelves are always looking their best.



The team work collaboratively with many different business functions- from working with our commercial teams to develop emerging product opportunities, through to understanding customer behaviour with our finance and I&A teams.



As part of our Total Retail System, the digital trading team work alongside our store operations teams and our Customer Care Centre.



The team have a key role in influencing the optimisation and technical development of our digital shopping channels.



This is a brand new role within the app digital trading team that will play a leading role in the development and running of a key new growth channel for Dunelm.



The key focus areas of this role will be:


Driving app revenue by developing compelling customer journeys, product stories and events, ensuring alignment with wider digital and marketing teams Using data and analytics to identify app growth opportunities and work with relevant teams to implement changes Working with our optimisation team to influence the app testing programme, ensuring that learnings are fed into future development roadmaps Optimising rankings, ratings and reviews within app stores through the implementation of ASO strategies Understanding and reporting on app performance through trading & customer metrics
It's a truly muti faceted role that will "own the keys to the app shop", taking responsibility for the customer journey, experience and messaging. It will also provide the opportunity to work with a wide variety of stakeholders such as digital trading, digital marketing, product, brand marketing, analytics and many more.

What you'll be doing




App Events & Customer Calendar




Manage the customer calendar for the app covering key messaging, content, incentives and marketing activations (paid & organic) Lead on the business approach to in app events, defining goals, processes, ways of working Work with the content and launch teams to ensure consistency between the Dunelm app and Dunelm.com by defining appropriate processes

App Performance Analysis & Reporting




Review key datasets and reports to identify opportunities for app optimisation (e.g Google Analytics, Sensor Tower etc) Engage in weekly app trading sessions and action next steps to drive enhanced app performance or experience Work with the I&A team to outline more detailed analysis to find opportunities to improve app performance or experience

App Experimentation & Personalisation




Work with the digital optimisation team to lay out a roadmap for app experimentation Act as the app SME within the personalisation centre of excellence, defining opportunities for personalisation within the app and to app customers more broadly Lay out app development requirements to activate on learnings from testing e.g. new features or changes to the app experience

App Store Optimisation




Conduct regular analysis of reviews and ratings trends within the app store, feeding back any key themes to appropriate stakeholders Review keyword rankings on a frequent basis, ensuring that app store set up is optimised for maximum visibility Work with relevant teams to ensure that app store content is up to date and engaging, reflecting latest functionality and propositional messaging.

It'd be a bonus if you also bring:



Experience working with or trading a mobile app - you know what makes an app tick and how to keep it thriving.

A good grasp of app performance marketing strategies and incrementality, you understand how to get the most out of every campaign.
