In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
Your role and responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deliver enterprise-grade, high-performance web applications using modern front-end frameworks and cloud technologies.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, owning the translation of business requirements and design mockups into responsive, accessible, and pixel-perfect UIs.
Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex performance bottlenecks, integration challenges, and cross-browser/device compatibility issues.
Drive the adoption of best practices in front-end architecture, code quality, performance optimization, and security.
Contribute to cloud-enabled solution designs, leveraging platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or IBM Cloud, with readiness to pursue certifications where beneficial.
Stay current with evolving frameworks and technologies including Angular and its new versions (i.e. v.18), Next.js, Vercel, MuleSoft, Jenkins, and others; guide junior developers in adopting these tools effectively.
Build clean, reusable, and scalable component-driven architectures using JavaScript/TypeScript and Angular, including RxJS and NgRx libraries.
Architect and integrate front-end applications with REST/GraphQL APIs and back-end services using secure and scalable design patterns.
Explore and contribute to next-generation UI/UX experiences, including AI-enhanced features such as natural language interfaces, contextual personalization, or real-time predictive capabilities.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in front-end and full-stack web development, with strong expertise in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver clean, maintainable, and scalable production code in Angular (primary) with RxJS and NgRx libraries, and hands-on exposure to React and/or Vue.
  • Proven experience implementing Next.js features such as server-side rendering, API routes, and advanced performance optimizations.
  • Deep understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1+), cross-browser compatibility, and modern CSS techniques (e.g., CSS Modules, Flexbox, Grid).
  • Strong proficiency with Git, npm/Yarn, and modern build/bundling tools.
  • Practical back-end/full-stack development experience using Node.js, Express, or Spring Boot, including integration with RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
  • Solid knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum practices, and automated front-end testing methodologies.
  • Ability to mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to technical decision-making.
Preferred technical and professional experience
  • Experience with modern testing frameworks and tools, including end-to-end testing with Playwright or Cypress.
  • Hands-on deployment experience with platforms such as Vercel, Netlify, or Firebase Hosting.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and infrastructure automation.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML-enhanced UX features such as personalization engines, smart assistants, or natural language-driven interactions.
  • Awareness or practical experience with cloud infrastructure tools like Terraform, Docker, or Ansible.
