An opportunity to join the Application Support team at Band 5 has become available.
The post-holder will join a team of Application Support Specialists providing high quality support and advice to users of key digital systems across Hywel Dda University Health Board, providing guidance and training with regard to system usage and functionality and ensuring all aspects of recording are undertaken to the highest quality. The successful candidates will support the roll out of new Digital Applications - Digital Maternity Cymru and Open Eyes.
Experience of working with systems and providing application support is essential. The role suits a dynamic and reliable individual who is capable of working independently or as part of a team. The candidate must possess good written and verbal communication skills as well as be able to meet deadlines.
Provide a comprehensive training service on new and existing Clinical Applications.
Responsible for delivering and supporting all aspects of Application Support training.
Undertake acceptance testing of supported applications.
Support a second line help-desk function within the Health Board.
Ensure that staff are trained in accordance with Health Board Policies and Procedures in line with Information Assurance.
Provide Business Change assistance to informatics projects.
Provide Application training to all levels of staff who use the clinical systems.
Liaise with Heads of Departments to arrange for staff to be released for training.
Liaise with Heads of Department to arrange for staff to be released for user acceptance testing.
Appraise / analyse new modules before any major updates connect to the live systems.
Be responsible for updating application training materials including eLearning modules and user guides.
