We are seeking an Applications Support Technician to join our Applications Support Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting Burges Salmon's critical applications and hardware, while helping to drive continuous improvement in how we deliver IT services.
What You'll Be Doing
Providing 2nd Line support for business-critical applications and productivity tools.
Diagnosing and resolving incidents, escalating where necessary, and ensuring users are kept informed.
Supporting hardware and software installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
Acting as a key link between the Applications Team and the Service Desk.
Managing the ITSM tool and contributing to the creation of knowledge base content.
Identifying recurring issues and contributing to long-term solutions.
Supporting the onboarding and upskilling of new team members.
What We're Looking For
Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Office 365, Windows OS, etc.).
Experience supporting legal applications such as iManage, BigHand, and Aderant.
Proven 2nd Line support and root cause analysis skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive, collaborative mindset with a focus on service excellence.
Experience or qualifications in SCCM, ITIL, Azure, Intune, PowerShell, or Group Policy will be desirable.
Familiarity with legal tech platforms would be beneficial.
This is a shift-based role with working hours rotating between 8:00am-4:00pm, 9:15am-5:15pm, and 10:15am-6:15pm. While shifts are scheduled in advance, a degree of flexibility is expected to accommodate occasional changes at short notice in exceptional circumstances.
