Apprenticeship Building Services Engineer



Based Derby onsite at Rolls-Royce.



What this opportunity involves:



We are excited to open applications for our 2025 Apprenticeship program. We are seeking an Apprentice Building Services Engineer to join our team in Derby. This apprenticeship program offers a unique opportunity for individuals to gain practical experience and expand their knowledge in the field of Building services engineering on a four-year program. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, the apprentice will support various Building Services projects across our portfolio of commercial real estate properties whilst working towards becoming a NVQ qualified Building Services Engineer.



The role will require 4 days per week in our offices and one day per week at college to complete the Installation and maintenance Building Services (level 3) training course.



Responsibilities:



Assist in the maintenance and commissioning of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, and electrical systems.



Support maintenance and repair tasks to ensure systems operate efficiently and safely.



Learn to interpret technical drawings and specifications to execute installation tasks effectively.



Participate in site visits and inspections to assess system performance and compliance with standards.



Help in troubleshooting issues and performing necessary adjustments or repairs.



Develop an understanding of health and safety regulations to promote a safe working environment.



Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.



Requirements:



GCSE English - grade C and Maths - grade C



Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.



Ability to work independently and as part of a team.



Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.



Health and safety-conscious mindset.
