Where will you be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We're problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.


You'll be working withing our MEICA and capital maintenance team.Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one-stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services.


This role will be within our Southern Water contract, working out of our Falmer, Brighton depot.

What will you be doing?

This 36-month programme will develop your practical, technical and soft-skills, with Health & Safety at the heart of everything you do. On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will gain a Water Civil Engineering Technician Level 4 qualification and a permanent, long-term career with M Group Water!


+ To ensure that safe systems of work are in place and are being adhered to
+ To translate design information to teams so they construct the project effectively and efficiently
+ To assist in supporting productivity for timely completion
+ To ensure the project is completed to the specification and quality of the client
+ To assist in managing the activity on site in a way that adheres to cost and contract constraints
+ To manage interfaces between stakeholders associated with the project
+ To ensure that the project has minimal negative impact on the environment and the community
+ To manage direct labour and subcontract teams on site to ensure the project is completed to contracted quality and to programme
+ Liaise with the planning team to ensure resources are mobilised to complete individual projects and job risks are understood and managed

What you'll bring

+ Valid UK driving licence
+ Right to work in the UK
+ achieved at least five GCSEs at grade 4/ C or above including Maths, English and Science or their equivalent
+ Effective communication skills
+ Keen to learn with an interest in development and progression
+ Passionate about the industry
+ Hardworking
+ Reliable, with excellent attendance and timekeeping
+ Ability to use own initiative
+ Must have a 'can do' attitude
