We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Apprentice Dispensing Assistant to join our pharmacy team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the dispensing of medications and providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and accuracy in medication administration.
Responsibilities
:
Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications to patients.
Serve customers in the shop and assist them with their queries
Ensure that all prescriptions are accurately filled and labelled according to established protocols.
Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on medication usage.
Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring that all pharmaceutical supplies are stocked and readily available.
Conduct inventory checks and assist with the management of stock levels, reporting any discrepancies as necessary.
Comply with health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and safe environment for both staff and patients.
Support the pharmacy team in administrative tasks, including record keeping and data entry.
Skills
:
Demonstrating empathy and understanding towards patients' needs.
Proficiency in medication administration, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Previous experience advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Be able to stand 8-9 hours per day on your feet.
Be able to adhere and follow SOPs at all times.
