Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Apprentice Dispensing Assistant to join our pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate dispensing of medications and providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of service and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations in a fast paced environment. Serve customers over the counter in a pleasant and polite manner Maintain an organised workspace, including the management of stock levels and inventory control. Provide support in medication administration under the supervision of licensed professionals. Engage with patients to provide information regarding their prescriptions and answer any queries they may have. Ensure all medication is labelled correctly and stored appropriately to maintain quality and safety. Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on pharmacy practices and protocols. Assist with administrative tasks as required, including record keeping and filing.

Skills

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is highly desirable. Knowledge of medication administration processes and patient care principles. Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues. A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to health regulations.
