Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Apprentice Dispensing Assistant to join our pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the dispensing of medications and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. This position requires a strong commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and excellent communication skills to assist both pharmacy staff and patients effectively.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications to patients in a fast paced environment. Ensure that all prescriptions are accurately filled and labelled according to established protocols. Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring that all medication storage areas are tidy and compliant with safety regulations. Provide exceptional patient care by addressing inquiries and offering guidance on medication usage under the supervision of a pharmacist. Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels, assisting with orders, and conducting regular audits of medication supplies. Adhere to all pharmacy policies, procedures, and legal requirements regarding medication administration. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
