An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice Electrical Design Engineer to work as part of the Controls Department based in Leeds.

Key Responsibilities

Key accountabilities for this role include:

Learning from more senior engineers a new highly sought after skill set Working with a dedicated mentor Minor drawing modifications leading to more complex work based on skills gained Working with the shop floor & external team on projects modified as above to provide feedback on design Processing internal order amendments Processing purchase requisitions Liaising with the panel shop team regarding consumables

Required Education & Qualifications

The successful candidate should have the following skills

Essential

A-C in Math and Science at GCSE
A keen interest in Electrical Engineering, Controls, Building Management Systems (BMS) and building services. The ability to think critically and objectively. Positive mindset towards learning Be on, or on a pathway, to gaining engineering qualifications. Initiative and can-do attitude Team player

Desirable

Previous experience with a CAD package Any extra curricular activities that have an engineering/design basis

Training will be provided for the right applicant to develop the skills and knowledge required for the position. This will also involve attending college likely on a day release basis. Further details will be discussed with the candidate at interview.
