Overview

CoMech Metrology Ltd is offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice Engineer. This is a fantastic chance to gain hands-on experience in a technical environment while working towards recognised qualifications and building a long-term career in engineering.

Responsibilities

Supporting the development of calibration techniques, quality assurance, and control procedures. Performing in-house testing, calibration, inspection, and where appropriate, repair of instruments and components. Assisting in the design and manufacture of test and inspection rigs. Working closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and external technical support. Ensuring all work is carried out in line with the company's quality standards and documentation. Liaising with the Quality Department to resolve non-conformances efficiently. Promoting a professional and positive attitude in the workplace. Accurately recording job information throughout the calibration process. Maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant working environment. Supporting other departments as needed, including liaising with suppliers and responding to technical queries. Understanding and responding to the needs of business customers.

Qualifications

A minimum of a Grade 4 (or Grade C) in GCSE Maths and English, or a Level 3 equivalent qualification
