Apprentice Fireplace Fitter - Ember Boutique

Location: Showroom based in Dalkeith, working across the Central Belt of Scotland

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Salary: To be discussed at interview

Start Date: Immediate start available

Ember Boutique is a growing, design-led fireplace and stove company based in Dalkeith. We specialise in high-end installations across homes and developments throughout the Central Belt of Scotland. We're now looking for a motivated Apprentice Fireplace Fitter to join our skilled installation team.

This is a hands-on role where you'll learn everything from preparation to full installation of fireplaces, stoves, and flue systems. No two days are the same, and we're looking for someone with a good work ethic and a willingness to learn a specialist trade.

What We're Looking For:

Enthusiastic, reliable, and willing to get stuck in Good physical fitness and confidence using tools A practical mindset with a strong eye for detail
Preferred Background (Not Essential):

Roofing experience - especially slating or tiling Carpentry skills - boxing-in, framing, basic joinery Labouring or site work - experience on construction sites Tool knowledge - confident using hand and power tools
If you already have experience in any of the above, that's a bonus. If not, we'll train you on the job. The most important thing is a great attitude and a willingness to learn.

What You'll Be Doing:

Assisting with the installation of fireplaces, wood-burners, and gas fires Preparing job sites - lifting, measuring, using tools, keeping things tidy Working in private homes, new builds, and renovations Travelling across the Central Belt with our experienced fitters Learning the full trade and working towards qualifications
Requirements:

Age 18+ due to insurance restrictions Driving licence preferred or in progress Must be comfortable with travel and physical work Based within a reasonable commute to Dalkeith
