Trainee Fireplace Installer (Ipswich or Colchester Based)

Full-time | Permanent | 18,000 - 28,000 per annum (DOE)

We're looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic individual to join our growing team as a

Trainee Fireplace Installer

, working with wood burners, fires, and fireplaces across our five showrooms.

You'll start by supporting our experienced installers, learning the ropes, and gradually progressing towards qualifications such as

HETAS

and more. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career with full training and on-the-job mentoring.

What You'll Be Doing:

Assisting in the removal and installation of fireplaces, stoves, and fires Helping to prepare and load the van each morning Learning key safety and installation skills on-site Ensuring tools, equipment, and vehicles are kept tidy and ready Supporting the senior engineer on-site and progressing toward independent installs

Where You'll Work From:

You will operate across

five different showrooms

, so start locations may vary. However, for this role,

you must be based in or around Ipswich

.

You'll be paired with one of our senior engineers who is Ipswich-based. Each morning, you'll either meet at his home or he'll pick you up - and you'll head to that day's showroom or job site together.

However, please note:

It is your responsibility to ensure you get to work each day.

If your usual lift is unavailable (due to illness, holidays etc.), you must be able to arrange your own transport to the assigned showroom or job location.

We're Looking For:

1+ year of building/labouring experience

A

full UK driving licence

A strong team player with a can-do attitude Good timekeeping and communication skills Physically fit - comfortable lifting, working at height, and using tools Reliable, honest, and eager to learn
