Apprentice Fleet Mechanic
Job Description
We are currently looking to recruit an Apprentice Fleet Mechanic to join our busy Workshop based at Parkmore, Dufftown.
During the 4-year term of apprenticeship you will be involved in working towards the safe and efficient repairs and maintenance of HGV and LGV's within the workshop and offsite environments.
This position is full time and combines the opportunity of paid work with both an on the job and a formal training programme, where attendance at college will be included and assessment of skills will take place via visits from the college assessor.
The ideal candidate must:
Be prepared to work as part of a team
Be able to work in a dirty and busy environment to meet deadlines
Have excellent attention to detail
Have an interest in engineering and be willing to learn
Be hard working, self-motivated, honest and trustworthy
The successful candidate will be rewarded with an hourly rate in excess of the current National Minimum Wage for Apprentices and 28 days' annual leave.
