Job Description

We are seeking an Apprentice IT Technician to work within our IT Department.

The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of computers driven by enthusiasm & willingness to learn new skills, you will need to show integrity, ambition, desire, pride in your work, and great communication skills at all levels.

Throughout the apprenticeship, you will gain the necessary experience & qualifications to progress your career with one of our training packages.

Specifically, this role will provide 1st line technical support, across a group of companies, dealing with a broad range of technologies.

Your Duties & requirements



Assist with the planned installation & testing of new hardware and software Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve network, software, and hardware faults Perform routine maintenance and upgrades Administer and support our bespoke software systems Be the first point of contact for end-user issues Provide first-class remote support via our remote access software To log all relevant details of incidents in the Service Desk & keep up to date, escalating to 2nd line when appropriate. Ensure all designated ICT systems are operated and maintained to appropriate standards

You must be eager to learn with a positive can-do attitude A self-starting problem solver with the ability to work under direction, use discretion and determine when to escalate issues You will have superb IT skills and base knowledge of hardware & software. Good communication, teamwork, and time management skills Ability to work well in a team and on your own your initiative A working Knowledge of HTML, CSS & PHP, SQL would be desirable but not essential.
