Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate individual looking to start their career in sports coaching.

The successful candidate will assist and learn from senior/experienced coaches in delivering PE lessons, extra curricular clubs and community sports clubs.
They will be responsible for completing their apprenticeship coursework with online tutoring as well as in person assistance from our coaching team.

They will be required to plan and deliver parts of lessons as well as independently plan and deliver extra curricular clubs.

This role requires a passion for sports and education, as well as the ability to inspire and motivate students to participate in various physical activities.

Duties

Plan, implement parts of physical education lessons that align with the national curriculum. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for physical activity. Coach a variety of sports and physical activities, ensuring all students have the opportunity to develop their skills in extra curricular clubs. Manage student behaviour effectively to create a safe and respectful. Communicate clearly with coaches, students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and any concerns. Maintain accurate records of student attendance.

Skills

Strong behaviour management skills to maintain discipline in the classroom. Experience in sports coaching to effectively teach various physical activities. Proficiency in physical education methodologies to deliver high-quality lessons. Excellent organisational skills for planning lessons and managing events, ensuring punctuality for sessions. Ability to educate students on the importance of fitness and healthy living. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with coaches, students, parents, and staff. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, to complete apprenticeship qualifications,

Pay: 7.55-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
