Summary:

Radnes Services Limited are looking to recruit trainee mechanical service engineers to join their team. The position is permanent & full time, and you would work within the Service Department where you will learn and qualify to maintain, repair and service a range of mechanical lifting and handling equipment.

You will need to have ideally recently studied engineering at college or higher-level education, but we are also interested in suitable candidates who are looking for a career in service engineering that we can train through an apprenticeship. This is an ideal and rare opportunity for someone who is looking to get into the field at an entry level.

Build a good rapport & deal promptly with customer requests helping to keep their business moving. Meet agreed targets. Complete documentation to company standards Liaise with our parts team to ensure appropriate stock levels are held on the company vehicle.
Key responsibilities will include:

Working with our senior engineers where you will learn to service, maintain and fault find issues on a range of material handling products, including gas, diesel and electric powered forklift trucks, scissor lifts and cherry pickers. Mentor a colleague and develop an understanding of workshop procedures through on job training Complete all tasks set by the engineers/workshop colleagues or assist wherever possible. Good communication skills and a 'GO To' attitude. To build and maintain good relationships with customers, colleagues, and managers Always working safely in accordance with the companies Health and Safety standards and Procedures.
Advantage to have:

Full UK driving license. City and Guilds in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering related field or a keen interest in practical science or engineering skills. Diagnostic computer skills. You must be willing to learn and have the ability to follow instructions. The ability to work unsupervised, as a team member and possess good interpersonal, communication and literacy skills. To be able to prioritise workload and work under own initiative or part of a team as and when necessary. Good observation skills and a willingness to learn. Punctual and reliable. Always observing and adhering to the Health and Safety guidelines as and when required. Willingness to learn.
