JOB SUMMARY
We require an Office Administrator Apprentice to help with the smooth running of the general office. The successful candidate must have good Microsoft package skills, be pro-active and respond positively to requests. The successful candidate will be required to attend college to study NVQ Business Administration on a day release. There is a good chance of progression for the right candidate.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Ensure a smooth running of the office with guidance from the Office Manager, such as: -
Stock taking - Stationery and refreshments
General filing, plot filing and archiving
Organising and franking post on time for collection
Ensure General Office is tidy and always organised
Monitor the appearance of the reception area and replenish as necessary
Prepare stationery requests ready to be sent out to the various sites
Set up for all meetings as necessary
Ensure the Board Room is always tidy
Assist all departments as necessary such as filing/photocopying/admin
Assist Office Administrator when needed
Reception cover as detailed below -
Answering and transferring phone calls
Greeting clients and visitors professionally
Preparing beverages for visitors
Cover for sickness, holidays, breaks and evening cover one day a week.

HOURS
40 hours per week
Monday to Friday
The successful candidate will be required to work one evening per week, with working hours on that day from 8:30am to 5:30pm. Standard working hours on all other days will be from 8:00am to 5:00pm. These hours may be amended, where necessary, to provide cover during periods of annual leave or other operational requirements.
