As an apprentice you'll be receiving practical and professional training right from the start. Working alongside experienced colleagues who will supervise your development and a dedicated mentor providing support and guidance throughout your training. You will have regular reviews with your manager and tutor/coach so you know how you are doing and can gain support with any activities to help you progress.

At Southampton City Council we are committed to paying Foundation Living Wage as a minimum and we believe apprentices should also be paid fairly. Your salary as an apprentice will be 24,027 annually and may increase in line with any national rise in Foundation Living Wage.



Although we can't guarantee you a permanent job at the end of your apprenticeship, we will support you to apply for other roles within the council, and help make sure you are ready for a wider job search with support from our Employment Skills team.



We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Partnership Support Assistant to join Southampton City Council (SCC) in the Partnership Service.


About the team:




The Partnership Service coordinates the effective delivery of the functions of the safeguarding children and adults partnership and the community safety partnership. This involves working with the wide range of statutory, voluntary, charity and faith organisations across Southampton to promote the safety and well-being of residents of the city.


About the role:




The Apprentice Partnership Support Assistant will work with the team, the independent scrutineer and the Chairs of sub-groups to provide administrative support to ensure the systems and processes are in place to promote the smooth running of the service.



You will work towards the Level 3 Business Administator apprenticeship in partnership with Kiwi Education. The duration of this apprenticeship is 12 months with 3 months for the End Point Assessment.



This post is a 15 month fixed term apprenticeship.
