Are you ready to launch your career in payroll? Do you enjoy working with numbers, solving problems, and supporting others? If so, this is a fantastic opportunity to join Cornwall Council's Payroll team as a Payroll Apprentice.


We process over 30 monthly payrolls and provide payroll services to Cornwall Council, schools, academies, and external organisations--paying over 30,000 people each month. As an apprentice, you'll gain valuable experience in a busy payroll environment while working towards a nationally recognised

Level 3 Payroll Administrator

qualification.

What you'll be doing:

Supporting the accurate and timely processing of payrolls Assisting with pay-related queries from employees and managers Learning how to apply payroll legislation and Council policies Using payroll systems and Microsoft Excel to manage and analyse data

What we're looking for:

A genuine interest in payroll Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning Basic IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
