Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Plumber to join our team and gain practical experience in the plumbing trade. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop essential skills and knowledge under the supervision of experienced professionals. The successful candidate will assist with a variety of plumbing projects, both domestic and commercial, while learning industry best practices. Duties

Assist with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial properties Use hand tools and power tools to cut, assemble, and fit pipes and fixtures Support with welding tasks where necessary, adhering to safety standards Perform basic measurements and calculations using simple maths to ensure accurate fitting of components Aid in carpentry tasks related to plumbing installations or repairs Handle heavy lifting of pipes, fixtures, and equipment safely and efficiently Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times Follow safety protocols diligently during all tasks Support with assembly of plumbing components and systems as directed by supervisors Assist with vehicle maintenance or operation if required for transporting materials or equipment

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of plumbing principles or related mechanical fields is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, or carpentry is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments Good organisational skills and attention to detail Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations Valid driving licence for commercial driving is desirable but not essential at entry level; training may be provided Strong work ethic with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
