The Apprentice Project Engineer will work collaboratively with our diverse engineering team to execute innovative fire suppression projects. This role is designed for individuals eager to contribute to impactful solutions and learn from a dedicated group of experts.



As an apprentice, you'll immerse yourself in a hands-on learning environment, acquiring new skills while fostering connections with our knowledgeable staff.



What You'll Do at Work



Learn essential project management skills in the dynamic Fire Suppression industry.



Develop expertise in commissioning cutting-edge Suppression systems on large-scale projects globally.



Experience a challenging and rewarding role that serves as a launching pad for a lifelong career in a highly innovative and technical business environment.



Engage with detailed project specifications and design data, collaborating with clients, end-users, sub-contractors, and internal departments on technical matters.



Demonstrate and apply knowledge of applicable fire suppression codes and standards, such as National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and British Standards (BS).



Assist onsite surveys to determine work scopes.



Ensure design work aligns with agreed project milestones and targeted margins while minimizing costs.



Where You'll Work



This role is based at our Swansea office. However, national travel will be required for different projects and site visits. It is essential that you are happy to travel, work away and stay overnight.

What's Next?



Suitable candidates will be contacted via email to provide their evidence of required certifications. Once we receive the evidence of certification you will have a screening call with a recruiter to discuss the position. Afterward, you will be invited to an assessment centre, where you will participate in a practical assessment, meet the team, and have an interview.



Candidates will receive a response regarding the outcome of their application. If successful, they can expect to begin the apprenticeship with Johnson Controls in the late summer of 2025.
