Apprentice Receptionist – Nvq Level 2 Customer Service

Job Description

Are you looking to start your career in a busy and supportive healthcare environment? We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and friendly individual to join our team as an Apprentice Receptionist while completing a Level 2 NVQ in Customer Service.

This is a 12-month apprenticeship position, ideal for someone who is organised, enjoys working with people, and is keen to develop skills in administration, customer service, and primary care.

Key Responsibilities:



As part of our front-of-house team, you will support the day-to-day running of our reception area, including: Providing a warm and professional telephone and face-to-face service to patients Booking and managing appointments using our clinical system Handling prescription requests within agreed practice policies Supporting daily tasks such as preparing admin paperwork and clinical rooms Greeting all visitors and ensuring sign-in/out procedures are followed Advising patients of service charges, processing payments, and issuing receipts Keeping the reception and waiting areas clean and organised Assisting with patient queries and supporting colleagues across the practice Accepting and managing specimens following health and safety protocols Helping maintain accurate patient records and filing documentation You will also provide general assistance to GPs and contribute to the efficient and welcoming operation of the practice.
