Are you passionate about driving and committed to providing safe, reliable transportation? We're seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as an

Apprentice Transport Large Bus and Minibus Driver

.



In this role, you'll develop practical and theoretical skills to qualify as a driver of large buses and minibuses. Your mission? Safely convey pupils and clients from their homes to schools or centres, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the journey.


Key Responsibilities:




Work towards achieving a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Passenger Carrying Vehicle Driving (Bus & Coach). Comply with relevant Road Transport Law and Statutory Regulations related to PCV and minibus driving. Prioritise passenger safety by adhering to Health and Safety regulations and promptly reporting hazards or defects. Drive vehicles in accordance with the Council's Drivers Handbook. Assist passengers between their home address and the vehicle, paying special attention to wheelchair anchorages and seatbelts. Monitor passenger conditions and report concerns to the Centre Manager or Head Teacher. Attend occasional courses outside normal working hours (Risk Assessment, Safeguarding, First Aid, and Manual Handling).



Qualifications and Skills:




Full driving licence (essential). Previous experience with disabled customers (desirable). Aged 18 or over. Caring and considerate attitude towards passengers. Clear Enhanced Disclosure and Barring check. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Willingness to undertake training (essential).
