We are looking for an enthusiastic and responsible Bus Driver to drive Vintage Routemaster buses on a part-time basis. As a driver, you'll provide a safe, professional, and friendly service for our passengers. You'll be responsible for maintaining a high standard of customer service and ensuring that each journey is memorable for both locals and tourists alike.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive Vintage Routemaster buses safely and efficiently across London's streets.
Ensure the comfort and safety of passengers at all times.
Maintain excellent customer service and communication skills with passengers.
Conduct a daily walk-around check of the bus before departure to ensure it is in safe and operational condition.
Review itineraries, routes and parking locations ahead of service.
Ensure proper use and recording of the tachograph in compliance with legal and company requirements.
Monitor and adhere to driving regulations, ensuring compliance with the working time directive.
Assist with the boarding of passengers and provide information when necessary.
Help promote and celebrate the historical significance of the Routemaster buses.
Requirements:
Valid UK driving license (Category D).
A clean driving record and the ability to operate large vehicles safely.
Flexible availability for weekday and weekend shifts
Previous experience as a London bus driver.
Passion for London's history and public transport.
Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to manage and solve customer-related issues professionally.
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
