Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Arborist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for trees and the environment, with a strong background in landscape maintenance and horticulture. This role involves the care and maintenance of trees, ensuring their health and safety while enhancing the beauty of outdoor spaces.

Duties

Conduct tree assessments to determine health and safety risks. Perform tree pruning, trimming, and removal as necessary. Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as excavators for tree care tasks. Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of trees and surrounding landscapes. Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to enhance overall site aesthetics. Provide advice on tree planting, care, and maintenance practices to clients. Ensure compliance with safety regulations during all operations. Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Skills

Proficient in landscape maintenance techniques and practices. Strong mechanical knowledge related to the operation of power tools and machinery. Experience with hand tools commonly used in gardening and horticulture. Familiarity with excavator operation for tree-related tasks is an advantage. Knowledge of irrigation systems and their maintenance is essential. Ability to perform general maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Background in construction or landscaping is beneficial. Excellent communication skills for client interactions and teamwork. A keen eye for detail in gardening and horticultural practices.
