We are seeking an
Architect
to join our busy and dynamic practice. Applicants must be fully qualified and will ideally have a minimum of
1 year's post Part III experience
.
You will gain exposure to projects across all RIBA stages. Whilst supported by a Director, you will be encouraged to work independently, take responsibility for your own projects and contribute as part of a collaborative team.
Strong design and presentation skills
are essential, alongside excellent communication skills and confidence in dealing directly with clients and consultants.
Experience of
Contract Administration and Site Management using NEC4 or JCT contracts
is desirable. A thorough knowledge of construction details and the ability to produce high-quality presentation drawings is also required.
Salary:
Negotiable, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Duties
Develop and present architectural designs that meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.
Utilise software tools such as AutoCAD to create detailed drawings and models.
Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure successful execution.
Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address any issues that may arise during construction.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and budget constraints.
Employ advanced modeling techniques such as SketchUp.
Prepare documentation for planning applications and building regulations.
Engage in negotiations with clients and suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes for projects.
Implement joinery techniques where applicable in design specifications.
Qualifications
A degree in Architecture or a related field is essential.
Proficiency in architectural software including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp.
Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate tasks effectively.
Demonstrated negotiation skills with experience in liaising with clients and contractors.
A portfolio showcasing previous architectural work is required.
Strong attention to detail coupled with creative problem-solving abilities.
