We are seeking a skilled

Architectural Technician

with proven expertise in

house extensions and loft conversion

,

Planning

& Building Regulations,

to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who can work independently and collaboratively, supporting a variety of residential and commercial projects across England.

You will be involved in client meetings, site visits, carrying out surveys and preparing drawings of existing buildings and technical drawings for building regulations. Working on a variety of projects of various scales, from large home extensions to internal house alterations, commercial conversions, and commercial fit-outs, you will be involved in all stages, working both independently and as part of our small team of two.

The role is based in a small office in

Manchester (Lord N St, Manchester M40 2HJ)

Key Responsibilities:

Client meeting, Site Survey, tracing paper sketches of home extension. Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Ensure designs and documentation are fully compliant with the current Building Regulations. Liaise with clients, local authorities, and consultants throughout project stages. Support planning applications, building regulations submissions, and site inspections (if needed). Assist in project coordination from concept through to completion. Take ownership of your project and see it through from start to finish

Requirements:

Minimum of

1 year of experience

in designing

home extensions

and loft conversions Proven experience as an Architectural Technician. In-depth knowledge of planning and current British Building Regulations and standards. Proficient in AutoCAD is a must. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Strong design skills - particularly home extensions and conversion Ability to manage time effectively in a flexible working environment.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Full driver's licence with own car
