Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Architectural Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the design and development of architectural projects, working closely with clients and the technicians and project managers to bring innovative ideas to life. This position requires a strong understanding of architectural principles, technical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment, as well as individual working time.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed architectural drawings and plans using CAD software, including AutoCAD and Revit. Assist in the development of design concepts and project documentation. Collaborate with clients, technicians and engineers to ensure designs meet client specifications and regulatory requirements. Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project progress. Utilise Adobe Creative Suite for presentations and visualisations. Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on schedule. Create 3D models using Sketchup and Rhinoceros 3D for client presentations. Maintain accurate records of project changes and updates throughout the design process. Go to sites and measure properties (training will be provided) Take schedule of condition surveys (training will be provided)

Experience

Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and Revit, is essential. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite for design presentations is required. Experience with 3D modelling tools such as Sketchup and Rhinoceros 3D is advantageous. Demonstrated ability in project management, ensuring effective coordination of tasks and timelines. Previous experience in an architectural or construction environment, with understanding of the technical aspects of construction Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are essential attributes for success in this role.

The position is currently 24 hours a week which would then increase with demand and ability.

To start the position will be in the office which would then be a hybrid office and work from home.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 15.00-20.00 per hour
