The opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Archivist to join our Risk and Compliance team at Stone King's Bath office on a permanent basis. This pivotal role will be responsible for the effective management of our wills bank and deeds storage, ensuring that all client data is handled with the utmost confidentiality and in full compliance with the firm's regulatory standards.
As an integral part of the Risk and Compliance team, you will collaborate closely with both operational and fee-earning teams, including our Trusts and Estates team and Property team, to support the smooth running of our document management processes and compliance obligations.
This role would suit someone who enjoys attention to detail and is highly organised, with a strong commitment to maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
General duties include, but are not limited to:
Dealing with daily requests to release deeds and wills from our strongroom to clients and third parties, ensuring the firm's compliance standards are upheld in-line with SRA code of conduct.
Dealing with internal requests from our fee-earners to retrieve documents from our strongroom
Archiving and storage management of original documents.
General management and maintenance of our strongroom records for wills and deeds.
Continue, where possible, to digitise and scan documents onto our IT systems.
Help conduct Will and Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) reviews.
Requirements
Essential
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage records and documentation accurately and efficiently.
Understanding of data protection and a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with clients and teams.
Proficient in using digital record-keeping systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Reliable and proactive, with the capacity to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Desirable
Previous experience in archiving, records management, or a related administrative role is preferred.
