Job description
We are part of a national cleaning company are looking to recruit an Area Cleaning Manager to cover Gloucestershire, Worcestershire & Herefordshire. The successful candidate will be 80% of the time working in the field and 20% from the office.
This is a hands-on role and applicants should be able to work to a high standard, and possess good interpersonal skills. In addition, you will have good decision making skills, be self-motivated and pro-active in your approach.
What you will be doing:
You will be required to manage and monitor the operation of our business client contracts around Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire.
You will manage cleaning operatives on customer sites from lone workers up to teams of 5 per site.
You will ensure service delivery standards and specifications are met within budget, thus delivering on or above agreed service levels.
This role requires you to think on your feet and have a friendly disposition paired with good people skills. You must hold a full UK Driving License with no more than six points. The ideal Area Cleaning Manager would have experience in managing accounts/contracts in a facilities management environment such as cleaning, security or any other support services company.
Key Responsibilities:
Setting up and starting new accounts
Ensure correct standards of services are established and maintained on customer sites.
Establishing good customer relationships
Monthly site evaluations with customers
The recruitment, induction and training of cleaners with due observance of appropriate Health & Safety requirements
Maintain up to date staff records
Manage cleaner register & time sheet monitoring & collating for payroll
Arranging cover cleans for staff absence
Covering staff holidays / absences yourself if cover for staff is not possible
Delivery and control of on-site cleaning supplies
Some contract sites will need visiting at unsociable hours - flexibility is essential
In return a competitive salary of up to 31200 is on offer depending on experience and a company vehicle which is available for private use. Hours are Monday - Friday, based on 40 Hours per week. The role will include administration duties, client meeting and staff interviews during office hours, Site visits to meet cleaning staff/operatives will take place during cleaner's normal hours of employment (normally between 5pm and 8pm).
