Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Cleaning Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various environments, ensuring that all areas are presentable and welcoming. This position requires effective communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service, as you will be interacting with clients and ensuring their satisfaction with our cleaning services.

Key Responsibilities: Fleet & Equipment Management:



Supervise and coordinate the maintenance, scheduling, and repair of cleaning equipment. Ensure all cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies are properly maintained and in good working condition. Coordinate the scheduling and maintenance of vehicles to guarantee operational efficiency. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, submitting requisitions for replenishment when necessary.

Cleaning Contracts Management:



Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to address their specific needs and concerns. Negotiate and manage cleaning contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed-upon terms. Oversee and monitor cleaning contracts, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and making adjustments to meet client expectations. Develop, implement, and supervise cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain a consistently high standard of cleanliness. Supervise and train cleaning staff, ensuring compliance with established cleaning protocols. Conduct regular inspections to assess cleanliness levels and address any deficiencies promptly. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure adequate stock levels.

Project Management:



Plan, execute, and oversee cleaning projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards. Collaborate with the team to allocate resources efficiently and manage project timelines. Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure and healthy working environment. Oversee waste management processes, promoting sustainability initiatives such as recycling. Address customer complaints and concerns regarding cleaning services, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Quality Management:



Establish and enforce high-quality standards for cleaning services. Conduct regular quality inspections and implement improvement initiatives where necessary. Collaborate with other departments to understand their operational needs and provide efficient cleaning solutions. Develop and manage the cleaning and operations budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness. Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety.

Staff Communication and Management:



Address communication issues among staff and ensure a transparent flow of information. Manage staff issues with a fair and consistent approach. Build and maintain a cohesive and motivated team through effective leadership and team-building activities. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment through effective communication.

Site Surveys and Sign-Off:



Conduct site surveys to assess cleaning requirements, provide accurate quotations, and create effective cleaning plans. Obtain client sign-offs upon completion of cleaning projects and ensure customer satisfaction.

Team Building & Leadership:



Develop and implement team-building activities to enhance employee morale and teamwork. Proactively address any interpersonal issues within the team. Recruit, train, and mentor cleaning staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Ensure effective communication within the team and address interpersonal issues promptly.

Timings Management:



Manage staff schedules to optimise efficiency and meet client demands. Monitor and adjust staffing levels as needed to accommodate fluctuations in workload.

People Management Skills:



Demonstrate strong leadership skills in managing and motivating a diverse team. Provide coaching and support to enhance the professional development of team members.

Compliance and Regulations:



Stay informed about industry regulations and compliance requirements related to cleaning and facilities management. Ensure that all cleaning and operational activities adhere to relevant health and safety standards.

Qualifications and Skills:



Proven experience in cleaning operations management. Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to conduct site surveys and manage client relationships effectively. Strong team-building and leadership skills. Experience in fleet management and logistics. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Problem-solving and decision-making abilities. A commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Clean driving license.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year
