Cranswick Gourmet Sausage, Operations team is looking for a confident, assertive and reliable

Area Manager

with a good working knowledge of manufacturing processes, familiarity with Health & Safety and Food Safety Legislation, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

You'll need to be a hands-on people person who knows and likes to engage with your team, with teaching and mentoring skills, in order to develop key operating staff. You'll need to be a great communicator, and your presence on the floor will be known.

Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will be assisting with running the shift in the most cost effective manner, whilst complying with current customer/brand product specification, GMP, food hygiene and health and safety legislation.

Shift pattern

: 4 on 4 off 6pm till 6am

Pay rate

: 18.47 per hour

Some of your key areas of responsibility will include (but not limited to):

Ensuring the effective, efficient and safe running of the Robot line, support the seasoning area and Spiral, maintaining high standards of food hygiene, health and safety and product quality; Taking responsibility for the teams performance, monitoring throughout each day to ensure they are meeting production KPI's on waste, giveaways and line efficiencies; Proactive management and mentoring to develop the team Effective engagement with supporting departments to retail packing Ensure we're compliant with the standards of the world's most demanding food companies

The ideal candidate will have:

Minimum of two years' experience at Production Supervisor level Proven experience in FMCG or similar fast paced environment An analytical and proactive approach to dealing with production related issues Excellent communication and motivational skills Experience of proactively controlling waste, downtime and dealing with performance loss issues
