Dolce is a national school meals caterer providing freshly made school meals across the UK. We are a family business and one of the fastest growing school meals providers in the UK. Our contract retention rates are unrivalled and our new business comes largely from word-of-mouth. Our existing customers are our priority and our high quality product speaks for itself. We specialise in freshly cooked meals from raw ingredients.

We have around 600 schools across the UK and value our reputation for delicious school meals and reward those who enhance this reputation.

As a result of business growth, we are seeking to appoint an Area Manager to cover the Swindon Area.

Purpose of the Role

You will manage the catering service across local school sites, ensuring the catering conforms to company and school standards and be responsible for assisting with financial management, together with ensuring service delivery is of a consistently high standard.

Your duties will include:

Managing a patch of schools and be responsible for the day to day running of the area, training and setting targets with kitchen managers. Liaising with school business managers through various communication methods. Implement food safety policies where applicable. Overall responsibility for health & safety standards across your area. Dealing with HR matters such as appraisals, disciplinaries etc. Recruitment & retention of staff.

Who we are looking for

In order to succeed, you will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of managing others, and will have experience within a similar role and environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

The ability to build and maintain effective client relationships. Recognised Food Hygiene and Catering qualifications. Craft skills. Experience in Education Catering. Previous experience in a similar role. Excellent communication skills. IT literate. GCSE or equivalent in Maths & English. The position is subject to a successful DBS clearance (cost covered by Dolce). A full UK driving license with own car is essential.
This role is suited to either an established multi-site manager or someone with extensive Education Catering experience who is ready for a step up into multi-site management.
